I'm re-reading Harry Potter #5 and remembering why it annoys the heck out of me. I just finished THe Hallowed Hunt by Lois McMaster Bujold and felt like I got my intellectual stimulation for the month, even if it is fantasy.

I once wrote a post about having "book shame" -- that feeling of inner sneering because all your literary choices aren't exactly...literary. Junk food novels, if you will. I was so happy when I saw J.D. Robb in your list along with the more, shall we say, challenging work :>
