I managed to get tickets to one of the last performances of Don Juan at the Lansburgh Theatre. The show was truly fantastic.
The show surpassed my expectations -- from the lavish costumes, to the beautiful sets, to Jeremy Webb's inspired portrayal of the title character.
But let me back up a sec...
I started the day at the Norbert salon at 1050 Connecticut Avenue. My best friend and I enjoyed a morning of pampering with manicures and pedicures. Two and a half hours later, we shopped at Filene's Basement on Connecticut Avenue.
Then, before the performance, dinner at Jaleo. The BEST sangria in the city... hands down. The restaurant is a DC institution reknowned for its tapas.
So the show was really just the perfect ending to a perfect day.
